Froneri's Stance Against the War in Ukraine and Commitment to Ethical Operations in Russia

Froneri strongly condemns the war in Ukraine, and we are deeply saddened by the continued loss of so many lives and the impact on all the affected communities. Since the outbreak of the war in early 2022, we significantly reduced our operations in Russia and strictly ringfenced our Russian subsidiary fr om the wider business. We withdrew international brands from the Russian market and stopped all Group capital investment, advertising, and promotional activity in the country. We also stopped importing and exporting raw materials and finished products to and from the Russian market. To date, our Russian subsidiary remains strictly ringfenced from the wider Group. Whilst the decision to maintain this presence in Russia is extremely difficult, if we suspended operations entirely this would create significant uncertainty for, and potentially harm, our local colleagues and their families.
This would also risk third parties taking steps to benefit from the value of that business for their own purposes. As such, we have rigorous measures in place to lim it any connections to the rest of the Group and there are no connections to any other regional Froneri businesses or subsidiaries. Froneri Group does not withdraw profits from the Russian business, and we do not provide any financial support. We will continue to keep our position under review.
