FrieslandCampina has announced an increase in its guaranteed price for farm milk for June 2024, setting it at €47.75 per 100 kilograms. This represents a €0.50 increase from the previous month, influenced by expectations of rising reference prices driven by higher dairy commodity costs.
For the year 2024 up to June, the average guaranteed price for farm milk stands at €46.50 per 100 kilograms.
The pricing structure of FrieslandCampina ensures that the guaranteed price is compensated based on the milk components—protein and fat—with a fixed ratio of 6:4. This guaranteed price reflects the values per 100 kilograms of farm milk, containing 3.58% protein and 4.45% fat, and is exclusive of VAT. The prices are calculated based on the annual average supply of 925,000 kilograms of farm milk.
For June, the value of protein is marked at €729.38, and fat at €486.25 per 100 kilograms of milk, highlighting the ongoing adjustments to market conditions and cost influences on dairy production.
