FrieslandCampina Raises Guaranteed Price for Farm Milk to 47.25 Euros in May 2024

FrieslandCampina has announced a 0.50 euro increase in the guaranteed price for farm milk in May, bringing it to 47.25 euros per 100 kilograms compared to the previous month.
This adjustment comes as a result of a positive correction due to an underestimation of reference prices in the preceding period. Reference companies are anticipated to maintain stability in their farm milk prices for May.
The average guaranteed price for farm milk for the year 2024, up to and including May, stands at 46.25 euros per 100 kilograms.
FrieslandCampina's guaranteed price for farm milk is disbursed based on milk components—protein and fat—in a fixed ratio of 6:4. This guaranteed price is published per 100 kilograms of farm milk, calculated at 3.58% protein and 4.45% fat, exclusive of VAT. This calculation applies to an average of 925,000 kilograms of farm milk on an annual basis.
Value of Milk Components in May
In May, the value of protein stands at 721.74 euros and the value of fat at 481.16 euros per 100 kilograms of milk.
