The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for organic farm milk will remain steady at 55.50 euros per 100 kilograms in February, maintaining the same level as January with a small negative correction included.
This decision reflects the balance between milk supply and market demand, and reference companies are expected to follow suit by keeping their organic farm milk prices virtually unchanged.
The average guaranteed price for organic farm milk for the first two months of 2024 remains at 55.50 euros per 100 kilograms.
FrieslandCampina's guaranteed price for farm milk is based on milk components, specifically protein and fat, in a fixed ratio of 6:4. Published per 100 kilograms of farm milk at 3.58% protein and 4.45% fat, exclusive of VAT, this amount applies to an average of 550,000 kilograms of farm milk annually.
In February, the protein value stands at 847.76 euros, and the fat value is 565.17 euros per 100 kilograms of organic farm milk.
The guaranteed price serves as the assurance from the company to pay member dairy farmers for the farm milk they supply, encompassing various components such as supplementary payments, registered reservations, seasonal supplements, quantity supplements, maximum quality supplements, and cooperative supplements or charges.
