FrieslandCampina guaranteed price farm milk April 2024: 46.75 euros

FrieslandCampina, a prominent dairy cooperative, has announced a rise in the guaranteed price for farm milk in April 2024. The guaranteed price will climb by 0.25 euros to 46.75 euros per 100 kilograms compared to the previous month.
This increment is attributed entirely to a positive correction stemming from an underestimation of reference prices in the preceding period. However, it is anticipated that the substantial decline in basic dairy prices will result in lower reference prices for farm milk.
The average guaranteed price for farm milk for the year 2024, up to and including April, stands at 46.00 euros per 100 kilograms of milk.
FrieslandCampina's guaranteed price for farm milk is disbursed based on milk components—protein and fat—in a fixed ratio of 6:4. This guaranteed price is published per 100 kilograms of farm milk, with protein at 3.58% and fat at 4.45%, excluding VAT. This amount applies to an average of 925,000 kilograms of farm milk annually.
The value of milk components for April is set at 714.10 euros for protein and 476.07 euros for fat per 100 kilograms of milk.
The guaranteed price serves as the amount that FrieslandCampina commits to pay its member dairy farmers for the farm milk they provide. It reflects the average farm milk price paid by several dairy companies in northwestern Europe, encompassing supplementary payments, seasonal supplements, quantity supplements, and other cooperative supplements or charges.
