EkoNiva opened a representative office in China

Through its own representative office, the company will be able to more actively negotiate and conclude contracts for the supply of dairy products, bypassing intermediaries. Also, thanks to the emergence of the trading house, EkoNiva intends to expand its participation in various industry exhibitions and events in China.
The office in Xi'an has already begun its work. The choice of the city was determined by its geographical location and convenient logistics. Xi'an, the administrative center of Shaanxi Province, plays an important role in the international economic and cultural interaction of the central and northern regions of China. In addition, it is a major land transport hub. Rail routes connect Xi'an with Russia, European countries, and other regions of China.
EkoNiva began supplying dairy products to China in the summer of 2020. The group imports into the country classic UHT milk with a fat content of 1.5% to 3.2%, as well as Professional Line UHT milk with a fat content of 3.5%. The total volume of EkoNiva exports to China is about 1,400 tons, of which more than 400 tons were sent over the past year. The group's products can be purchased in the provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, as well as in Shanghai and Beijing. It is available in supermarkets such as the Epinduo chain, the Ant warehouse in Changchun and other retail outlets, as well as on the Tmall marketplace.
Delivery of products under the EkoNiva brand is carried out by sea and by road. The opening of a representative office in Xi'an also makes it possible to use rail transport and build more efficient supply chains. This will save time, resources and expand the range of supplied products, including starting the supply of dairy products with a short shelf life. The first shipment by rail is scheduled for the end of January 2024. The shipment will include UHT milk and cream. At the moment, EkoNiva is undergoing certification for the supply of products with a short shelf life to China, in particular the yogurt and dessert group.
“China is one of the most promising export destinations due to its great potential in terms of consumption of milk and dairy products. Residents of the country are already convinced that milk from Russia is natural, tasty and healthy, and our geographical location and developed transport routes provide an additional advantage over other exporting countries,” says Stefan Duerr, President of the EkoNiva Group of Companies.
