In the latter half of December 2024, Argentina saw an 11.6% rise in average export prices, climbing from USD 3,359.82 per ton to USD 3,751.47 per ton. However, the export volume declined by 20.2%, falling to 9,810.49 tons, while export destinations slightly decreased from 28 to 27.
December closed with 22,099.07 tons of exports at an average price of USD 3,534 per ton. Notable trends include substantial price increases for Whole Milk Powder (USD 4,008.87) and Skim Milk Powder (USD 3,277.21), with volumes of 4,355.54 and 1,442.27 tons, respectively.
Uruguayan Dairy Market Overview
The Uruguayan dairy market in January 2025 reflected a positive trajectory. The second half of the month witnessed a 3.07% increase in average export prices, reaching USD 3,764.14 per ton. A significant 53.7% surge in export volumes saw them rise to 11,498.39 tons, along with an expansion of market destinations from 29 to 37.
