Schwarzwaldmilch Group and Käserei Bauhofer Forge Cheese Production Partnership

German dairy company Schwarzwaldmilch Group has signed a strategic agreement with the cheese manufacturer Käserei Bauhofer, focused on expanding the production and sales of cheese products under the Schwarzwaldmilch brand. This partnership particularly emphasizes sales, marketing, and production, targeting the development of new cheese products.
Andreas Schneider, the managing director of Schwarzwaldmilch, stated: "We want to further expand the Schwarzwaldmilch cheese range and increase the overall cheese sales of the Bauhofer cheese dairy through this cooperation."
Headquartered in Bodnegg in the Allgäu region of Württemberg, Käserei Bauhofer specializes in various cheese types, including the renowned Allgäu Emmental. The family-run company has the capacity to process approximately 65,000 kg of milk per day and will produce Schwarzwaldmilch’s existing Black Forest milk cheese products.
Freiburg-based Schwarzwaldmilch, which processes about 700,000 kg of milk daily across its locations in Freiburg and Offenburg, also offers fresh and long-life milk, butter, and protein products. The company reported sales of €260m ($290.79m) for 2024, marking an increase of nearly 5% despite challenges such as high energy costs and weak exports.
Schneider highlighted the need for proactive and sustainable practices in the face of current economic and political developments, emphasizing the importance of self-determination and adaptability for future success.
