OMFED operates in Odisha, a state located on the eastern coast of India. This strategic location facilitates distribution across the region and supports the cooperative's supply chain operations.

Production and Quality Assurance

OMFED specializes in the production of paneer, a staple in Indian cuisine. The cooperative produces approximately one tonne of paneer every day. During festive periods, when demand increases, OMFED can ramp up production to nearly three tonnes per day. To ensure the highest standards of quality and safety, OMFED employs a rigorous three-stage testing system throughout its supply chain, highlighting its commitment to delivering safe and high-quality dairy products to consumers.

Network and Expansion

OMFED procures more than 700,000 litres of milk daily from its farmer network through 4,616 primary dairy co-operative societies. The cooperative has approved a Rs 2-per-litre increase in the price it pays for milk collected from farmers, effective from September 11. To further strengthen the dairy co-operative network in Odisha, OMFED is involved in establishing 1,200 additional dairy co-operative societies across different districts.
