Sebrae's efforts have been instrumental in elevating the standards and reputation of artisanal cheese, especially from the Paraná region.

Key Initiatives and Events

Among Sebrae's notable contributions is its support for the Prêmio Queijos do Paraná, a prestigious competition dedicated to recognizing and certifying high-quality artisanal cheese producers. This event underscores Sebrae's dedication to ensuring that cheese producers adhere to essential quality benchmarks, enhancing the prestige of Paraná's artisanal cheeses both locally and internationally.

In addition to the Prêmio Queijos do Paraná, Sebrae is also a supporter of ExpoGenética. This involvement further demonstrates its dedication to promoting excellence within the dairy sector.

Collaborations and Partnerships

Sebrae collaborates with Faec and specialist companies in an innovative in-vitro fertilisation initiative. This partnership aims to distribute selected embryos to small and medium-sized livestock farmers, contributing to the advancement of dairy farming practices and genetic improvement in livestock.

Furthermore, Sebrae provided support to organize the microenterprise, helping Sandra in organizing her cheese-making business, Pé de Queijo, and in organizing the Nobres Gastronomic Fair.

Future Plans

Sebrae is preparing a circular-economy programme for dairy businesses in Nossa Senhora da Glória, Brazil. Sebrae staff have visited several dairy plants in the region to examine waste management and improve the use of resources. They are finalizing an action plan to be presented at a seminar in the municipality on November 5.
