Zanker: Pioneering Dairy Farmer and Educator

Zanker has been named Australian Rural Woman of the Year, a prestigious recognition that highlights her dual contributions to the dairy industry and education. As a former classroom teacher, she has seamlessly integrated her educational expertise with her passion for farming.

Operating a mixed farming and dairy enterprise, Zanker manages a 4,000-acre farm where 300 cows are milked under a year-round calving system. Her innovative approach includes a farm-based education program that attracted over 1,200 visitors in its inaugural year.

The national award not only honors her achievements but also comes with financial support to expand her initiatives.
