Dr Naveena B Maheswarappa

Dr Naveena B Maheswarappa holds the pivotal position of India’s Animal Husbandry Commissioner. Additionally, she is the chair of the FAO Committee on Agriculture’s livestock sub-committee, reflecting her leadership in the international agricultural community.

Dr Maheswarappa has been instrumental in advocating for healthy production systems within the livestock sector. She participated in a plenary session focused on these systems, where she highlighted India's implementation of One Health principles.
