Claire Bertens: Innovator in Dairy Cow Gut Health
Claire Bertens is currently a PhD student at the College of Agriculture and Bioresources at the University of Saskatchewan (USask). She is at the forefront of developing innovative tools for assessing the gut health of dairy cows.
Her research is centered on identifying key factors that influence the permeability of the bovine gut, an essential aspect of maintaining both the health and productivity of dairy cattle. This work is critical as it aims to enhance the overall well-being and efficiency of dairy production systems.
