US Beef Cattlemen’s Association
Ken Bacus of the US Beef Cattlemen’s Association has recently described the American beef herd as the smallest it has been in more than 70 years. This situation presents a significant point of concern for stakeholders in the industry.
Despite the reduced domestic cattle numbers, the organization does not perceive New Zealand beef imports as a competitive threat. Instead, these imports are viewed as complementary to the US production, ensuring that beef remains available on supermarket shelves across the country.
