Mais Forragem RS Program

The Mais Forragem RS program is a significant initiative coordinated by the Secretary of Rural Development, with support from Emater/RS-Ascar and Embrapa. This program has been instrumental in enhancing agricultural practices in the region, particularly benefiting the dairy industry.

Program Activities and Achievements

In 2025, the program conducted 40 technical visits and organized 35 field days. These activities were crucial in disseminating knowledge and best practices among local farmers and agricultural workers. Additionally, the program trained 200 extension workers, equipping them with the necessary skills to support and improve local agricultural output.

One of the key achievements of the Mais Forragem RS program was the distribution of over 3,000 tons of seeds. This effort significantly contributed to the enhancement of forage availability, which is vital for dairy production. Approximately 200 municipalities reaped the benefits of these initiatives, reflecting the program's extensive reach and impact.
