Kolhapur District Cooperative Milk Producers Union
Known as Gokul, the Kolhapur District Cooperative Milk Producers Union is Maharashtra’s largest cooperative milk union. Established in 1963, Gokul has played a significant role in the dairy industry by linking the livelihoods of approximately 441,000 milk producers across 1,810 villages.
Operations and Financial Performance
Gokul is engaged in the procurement and processing of milk, ensuring that milk producers have a reliable outlet for their products. The cooperative reported an impressive turnover of Rs 3,966.28 crore for the year 2024-25, highlighting its significant role in the region’s economy.
