Company Initiatives and Expansion

In an effort to diversify and bolster its market presence, ITC is investing ₹8 crore in developing a controlled-environment infrastructure covering 1,000 acres. This initiative is focused on creating a specialized export-oriented tomato operation with a targeted production capacity of 10,000 tonnes. Although this project is centered on fruit and vegetable clusters, it underscores ITC's commitment to innovation and market expansion.

Dairy Business Growth

ITC made its entry into the fresh-dairy market in 2018, starting with Aashirvaad milk in Bihar and subsequently expanding to West Bengal and Jharkhand. The company is now the second-largest dairy company in Bihar, adapting its product range to suit local tastes and consumption habits. ITC operates dairy-processing facilities in Munger, Patna, Muzaffarpur, and Gaya in Bihar; Ranchi in Jharkhand; and Howrah and Bardhaman in West Bengal. The Aashirvaad Svasti portfolio is available throughout these states.

Product Portfolio and Market Position

The company's growth in the dairy segment during FY26 has been supported by its premium Select milk and value-added products such as curd, paneer, Mishti Doi, and lassi. ITC is actively working to shift some households towards packaged and value-added dairy products, including pouch curd. In addition, the company is exploring new dessert products positioned as healthier alternatives, expanding beyond its existing range.
