Recently, the department undertook a comprehensive inspection drive across 36 railway stations, assessing 112 food establishments. These establishments included railway pantries, hotels, and food services on trains. The inspections aimed to ensure compliance with established food safety standards, thereby safeguarding consumer health within the expansive railway network.

Regulatory Activities in Uttar Pradesh

In Uttar Pradesh, the department has a long-standing history of regulatory activities. Over nearly a decade, officials have conducted more than 1.449 million inspections and over 210,000 raids to uncover and address breaches in food regulations. These operations resulted in the identification of over 137,000 food samples that failed to meet the required standards, highlighting the department's unwavering commitment to food safety.

Inspection of MANMUL Facilities

The department's officials have also inspected MANMUL facilities and a warehouse as part of their ongoing efforts to ensure food safety. The investigation is centered around alleged adulteration, although detailed laboratory findings or specific substances involved were not disclosed.
