C.S. Hagen

About the author: C.S. Hagen is an award-winning journalist currently working with The Vault, uncovering true crime stories mainly in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. Spending half his life abroad, primarily in Tianjin, China, spawned his fascination with loose leaf teas, language and the beauty of diverse cultures. Despite a nomadic youth, C.S. Hagen is a graduate of Wheaton College near Chicago, and has more than 15 years experience working as a journalist and photographer. An author of several books focused on his Asian experiences, C.S. Hagen has won multiple writing awards including: 2020 North Dakota and Minnesota Newspaper Association awards, and the 2018 Arc of Justice Award for journalism. Excluding the ever-evolving English language, C.S. Hagen is fluent in Mandarin, Chinese.
