By 2025, up to 33 million tons of milk per year will be produced in Russia. This was stated by Yuri Ivanov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the All-Russian Research Institute of Animal Husbandry Mechanization at the plenary discussion "Green Agenda and Milk" held at the international exhibition of animal husbandry, breeding and feed production "AGROS", writes The DairyNews.

The organizers of the section were Dairy Intelligence Agency (DIA) and The DairyNews.

‘Milk productivity has increased in breeding and non-breeding farms, milk production is increasing, dairy farms are being built and modernized - this makes it possible to make a forecast that 33 million tons of milk will be produced in Russia by 2025,’ the speaker said.

In this regard, he considers it natural that Russia is increasing the export of dairy products, including milk powder and ice cream.

‘And this trend will continue,’ the academician summed up. ‘The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation is considering various sales markets, and MGIMO (Moscow State Institute of International Relations) is already preparing special attaches who will promote domestic dairy products abroad. This is a good comprehensive approach.
