Vladimir Putin signed the law on monitoring agricultural land
According to the law, the information obtained during such monitoring must be entered in the State register of agricultural lands. This register will be maintained by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation through the already functioning system of state information support in the field of agriculture. At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers will establish the procedure for maintaining the state register, the composition of the information contained in it, as well as the procedure for its provision.
Information from the register will be provided to land owners, land users, landowners and tenants of land plots upon their requests in the form of a passport of a plot of agricultural land for free.
Earlier, in the conclusion of the profile committee of the Council of Federations on agrarian and food policy and environmental management, it was noted that ‘state accounting of indicators of agricultural land fertility is carried out in order to form complete and reliable information about the state of agricultural lands in terms of their level of fertility and dynamics of its change.’
