Verde Campo's Innovative Lactose-Free Dairy Products Unveiled at Naturaltech 2026
At Naturaltech 2026, Verde Campo showcased a significant shift in their dairy portfolio, emphasizing high protein content, functionality, and lactose-free formulations. The Brazilian company, headquartered in Lavras, Minas Gerais, aims to cater to the growing demand for nutritious and natural food products.
New Product Offerings
The company's latest offerings include the new Lacfree sliced cheese line, featuring Queijo Minas Padrão Fatiado Lacfree and Queijo Prato Fatiado Lacfree, both available in 150g formats. These cheeses are made from fresh milk from southern Minas Gerais, are lactose-free, contain no preservatives, and have a 25% reduction in total fat. They are marketed as sources of calcium and protein, aligning with consumer preferences for functional and nutritious foods.
In addition to the cheeses, Verde Campo has relaunched its Lacfree butter with salt, available in a 200g package. This product is crafted from 100% fresh cream and natural fermentation, aimed at providing lighter alternatives for those with lactose intolerance or seeking easier digestion.
Innovative Protein Dessert
Another innovation is the protein dessert flavored with Doce de Leite, which contains 12g of protein per 130g pot. This dessert is lactose-free, contains no added sugars, has no total fats, is low-calorie, and free from artificial colors and flavors. It represents a blend of indulgence and nutritional functionality.
Strategic Vision
Fábio Ferreira, the CEO of Verde Campo, highlighted the strategic direction of expanding their portfolio towards functional foods, combining protein, taste, and convenience. This approach is in line with the increasing demand for more nutritious products.
Verde Campo's presentation at Naturaltech 2026 is not merely an expansion of their catalog but rather a redefinition of dairy products as platforms for functional formulations, with protein as the central component.
