Two major investment projects for construction of milk processing plants are being implemented in Novosibirsk region
‘Milk production and processing is a priority branch of the agro-industrial complex of Novosibirsk region,’ emphasized in the regional Ministry of Agriculture. ‘The development of this area is relevant for the region, as additional jobs are created, the volume of production is synchronized with the volume of processing. Due to the expansion of processing industries, additional taxes are received by the regional budget. In order to develop the milk processing industry, the Government of the Russian Federation will introduce a new measure of state support since 2022 - a "Stimulating subsidy for the increase in milk processing volumes".
According to the statistics provided by the agency, in 2019, agricultural organizations, peasant farm holdings and individual entrepreneurs produced 642.3 thousand tons of milk, which amounted to 106% compared to the level of 2018. In 2020, 683.4 thousand tons of milk were produced - 106% compared to the level of 2019. During the ten months of 2021, 597.2 thousand tons of milk were produced - 103% compared to the same period in 2020.
In 2019, local dairy processing enterprises processed 340.1 thousand tons of milk and produced: milk, except raw milk - 69.6 thousand tons, butter and spreads - 10.9 thousand tons, cheeses and cheese products - 3.1 thousand tons, cottage cheese - 3.7 thousand tons, fermented dairy products - 43.3 thousand tons, ice cream - 23.5 thousand tons.
In 2020, 343.3 thousand tons of milk were processed. There was produced: milk, except raw milk - 74.2 thousand tons, butter and spreads - 7.7 thousand tons, cheeses and cheese products - 6.3 thousand tons, cottage cheese - 3.7 thousand tons, fermented dairy products - 41.1 thousand tons, ice cream - 26.9 thousand tons.
In 2021, milk processing enterprises of the region plan to process 361.7 thousand tons of milk.
For 9 months of 2021, the following products were produced: milk, except raw milk - 71.1 thousand tons, butter and spreads - 5.2 thousand tons, cheeses and cheese products - 9.0 thousand tons, cottage cheese - 2.7 thousand tons, fermented dairy products - 28.0 thousand tons, ice cream - 22.7 thousand tons
Stable growth of gross milk production has been achieved due to the effective work of most agricultural organizations, the implementation of large investment projects, as well as the development of small business patterns in rural areas.
