The biggest problem with labeling dairy products is directly in the process. Head of the project of the All-Russian People’s Front «People’s Farmer» and the founder of the cheese factory «Russian Parmesan» Oleg Sirota stated this in an interview with The DairyNews.
‘Most importantly, it is not clear why it is needed. It is one thing if we are talking of fur coats and shoes. However, we do not need it. The reason is not that you have to pay 50 kopecks for each bottle of milk. I am ready to transfer, if the state says: ‘Pay 50 kopecks, - we will pay there is nothing terrible about it. The problem is that everything needs to be labeled, entered, and displayed by these systems. The biggest problem is in the process. I do not have any enthusiasm about labeling,’ concluded Oleg Sirota.

He also added that there were meetings with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture regarding the labeling, during which an agreement on a delay was reached for small businesses.
‘Now for a year, but it is better to do it for two, because objectively, we will not be able to implement it quickly and smoothly,’ said Oleg Sirota.
