The strategy for combating illegal trade in industrial products until 2025, approved by Mikhail Mishustin on February 6, will significantly expand the list of labeled goods, writes The DairyNews.

The document lists the industries that are subject to special monitoring: chemical, electronic, food and light industry, pharmaceuticals, automotive, children's goods industry, agricultural engineering, as well as folk arts and crafts.

‘It is important to monitor carefully the fact that people can use high-quality industrial goods, and falsified goods are forced out of the market. After all, they often not only hit people's wallets and the income of legal businesses, but can also affect the well - being of our citizens,’ said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

To combat falsification, it is planned, in particular, to focus on the development of a system of traceability of goods; to form a national competence center that will analyze the situation in the shadow market; to provide specialized agencies with high-quality specialists and the necessary special equipment. The Government also plans to eliminate "legal gaps" and balance the legislation of the EAEU member states.

‘The strategy pays attention not only to the fight against “gray goods”, but also to the suppression of the use of fake accompanying documents, countering illegal logistics schemes. These measures are of particular importance in the context of the development of e-commerce,’ reported in the Government.

Mikhail Mishustin instructed to solve this issue as quickly as possible and to submit an action plan for the implementation of the strategy to the Government within three months. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will need to enter all the data.

The Ministry noted that the implementation of the provisions of the document will help to support honest entrepreneurs, protect citizens from low-quality products and minimize the impact of the shadow market on the socio-economic situation in the country.
