The price of dairy imports to Russia continued to break records

The import price of exchange-traded dairy products to Russia reached 40.46 rubles (about 0.49 euro)/kg, which is 4.3% higher than last week and 16.8% higher than at the beginning of November 2020. This is a new record this year, said analysts of Dairy Intelligence Agency to The DairyNews.

In dollars, the import price was 0.57 USD/kg, which is 2.9% higher than last week.

The key factor in the growth of the import price was the increase in prices for exchange-traded products at the auctions of BUCE and Trigona. At the BUCE auction, prices of skimmed milk powder increased by 8.6%, of whole milk powder - by 0.5%, of whey powder - by 66.7%, only the price of butter decreased by 2.1%. At the Trigona Dairy Trade auction, the price of skimmed milk powder increased, the price of butter decreased, the prices of whey powder and cheese remained at the level of previous auctions.

Taking into account the increase in prices of exchange-traded products, the import price of a pair of skimmed milk powder + butter increased by 3.3% to 46.97 rubles (about 0.57 euro)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey increased by 5.7% to 36.22 rubles (about 0.44 euro)/kg. The price of whole milk powder increased by 0.6% to 33.69 rubles (about 0.41 euro)/kg.

The Dairy Index DIA also broke a new record and reached 31.3 rubles (about 0.38 euro)/kg (excluding VAT, fat-3.6%, protein-3.0%), 2.1% higher than last week and 10.3% higher than November 2020.
