The price index for dairy products at the auction of Global Dairy Trade rose by 1.8%
The weighted average price of dairy products at the 277th auction of the GDT was 3,614 USD/kg. Taking into account the weakening of the ruble against the dollar compared to the previous auction, the weighted average price of dairy products in the Russian currency increased by 2.7% to 272.8 rubles/kg, which is 32.35% higher than at the beginning of February 2020.
In total, 28,707 tons of dairy products were sold at the auction, 899 tons less than at the previous auction. The number of bidders is 181.
At the auction, the prices of butter (+6.2%), whole milk powder (+2.3%), cheddar (+2.3%), dehydrated milk fat (+1.3%) and lactose (+3.8%) increased, and only the price of skimmed milk powder decreased by 1.5%.
The next Global Dairy Trade auction will take place on February 16, 2021.
