Snow Brand Milk and Alltech Japan Collaborate on Dairy Emissions Project

Snow Brand Milk Products Co., Ltd., in partnership with Alltech Japan, has initiated a project to assess environmental performance at dairy farms using the E-CO2 environmental assessment tool. This collaboration, conducted at a dairy farm in Hokkaido, Japan's largest milk-producing area, seeks to evaluate and improve management practices that support productivity while reducing emissions.

The project's methodology complies with the International Dairy Federation's carbon footprint guidelines, enabling accurate and standardized assessments of environmental impact. Snow Brand Milk's Dairy Research Institute and Alltech Japan GK are working together to generate data that can lead to practical improvements in dairy management strategies.

One of the primary objectives is to maintain high levels of milk production while addressing environmental concerns. This aligns with Snow Brand Milk's broader goals of promoting sustainable dairy farming and developing a regenerative agricultural model. The project is expected to offer valuable insights into how environmental assessment tools can enhance sustainable farm management practices.

Alltech Japan, a subsidiary of the U.S.-based Alltech Inc., provides agricultural nutrition solutions and is involved in various activities, including the manufacture and sale of feed additives in Japan.
