Small businesses have been hit hard by restrictive measures to visit markets. This was stated in an interview with The DairyNews by Head of the project of the All-Russian People’s Front "People's Farmer" and the founder of the cheese factory "Russian Parmesan" Oleg Sirota.

‘We really survive as best we can, and the situation is similar on average for all small farms. Because we, small cheese-makers, farmers, those who sells their products themselves, have bit hit hard by restrictive measures to visit markets. People were just afraid to go to them. In some regions, "excellent" managers simply closed the markets: ‘Get sick hungry!’. It was a difficult year, to put it mildly,’ he said.

At the same time, Oleg Sirota noted that his company is engaged in the modernization of the cheese storage and workshop.

‘In the industry, they say that we may experience a rather difficult period, for which we somehow have to prepare. However, we are struggling: we are engaged in the modernization of the cheese storage facility, we are upgrading the shop. It was originally planned to start in May, but we started only in recent weeks. We started paying off the loan for the equipment even earlier. Despite the difficult situation, we continue to pay off our debts,’ he added.
