Russia reduced the import of dairy products by 9% in January-February 2020. This is evidenced by the data of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, reported in the press service of the department to The DairyNews.
The Russian Federation also reduced the import of other food products. Thus, the import of grain crops decreased by 54.3%, tobacco - by 35.6%, vegetables - by 31.7%, meat and offal - by 27%, fruits and nuts - by 21.7%.
At the same time, the volume of imports of vegetable oil increased by 56.5%, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages - by 5.7%, fish - by 2.2%.
In general, as noted in the FCS, imports to Russia from far abroad increased by 10% during the reporting period.
