Rusmolco has invested more than 28 billion in the agro-industrial complex of Russia
CEO of Rusmolco Sumanta Kumar De participated in the meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore Sadasivan Premjit with Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Sergey Levin. The meeting was held on February 1 at the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
Sumanta Kumar De spoke about the company's plans and the implementation of the Rusmolco investment program, under which the country's largest closed-loop farm was launched in 2021. A modern complex for 7,200 dairy cattle is located in Serdobsk district of Penza region, its construction has allowed the region to create more than 400 jobs. He noted that over the years of Rusmolco's presence in Penza region, the company has invested more than 28 billion rubles in the Russian agro-industry.
In addition, Sumanta noted that the company annually increases the volume of raw milk production, thanks to the development of capacities and the construction of new ones. Thus, the daily yield in the company has already exceeded 500 tons per day
The Ambassador of Singapore noted that Olam, which is the owner of Rusmolco, is the largest Singaporean investor in the Russian agro-industrial complex. Olam considers the Russian market as a strategic one and plans to increase further its presence. The meeting participants also discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation in the agricultural sector of Russia and Singapore.
Rusmolco has been present in Penza region for 13 years, developing three areas of activity in the region: dairy farming, crop production and seed production. Four dairy complexes, an elevator, a grain drying complex, and a seed preparation complex were built. Rusmolco manages 152,000 hectares of land. The company employs more than 1,600 people.
