According to preliminary data, Kazakhstan climbed to the third position among the largest markets for Russian food by the end of the half-year, surpassing Belarus in terms of shipment value.

The main export revenue was generated by shipments of wheat, sugar, chocolate products, sunflower oil, as well as bakery and flour products. Sugar sales grew by 14% to 181 million dollars, and chocolate confectionery by 27% to 144 million dollars.

Sunflower oil supplies brought in 135 million dollars, almost one and a half times more than the previous year's figure. Revenue from exports of bakery and flour confectionery amounted to 133 million dollars after a 10% increase. Additionally, corn deliveries increased tenfold, bran threefold, and barley 2.2 times.

The head of "Agroexport", Ilya Ilyushin, named Kazakhstan as one of Russia's key trading partners in the agricultural sector. According to him, there are no customs, financial, or other restrictions between the countries; scientific and technical cooperation in biotechnology, breeding, and genetics is also developing.

Among Russian companies supplying products to Kazakhstan, "EkoNiva" sent almost 2,000 tons of ultra-pasteurized milk, cream, cottage cheese, sour cream, butter, yogurts, and curds over the half-year. Seeds of spring wheat, spring barley, soybeans, peas, and flax are also supplied to Kazakhstan. The company reported that in 2025 its varieties successfully passed state demonstration trials and were included in the state register of Kazakhstan.

The products of the Moscow region company "Timosha" have been present on the Kazakh market for more than ten years. It supplies the republic with confectionery, including oriental sweets, and canned fish, which are sold through all distribution channels. In 2024, "Timosha" signed a direct contract with one of Kazakhstan's major retail chains, Small.
