Rospotrebnadzor has introduced new rules for holding mass events
‘An increase in the number of participants of the event up to 70% of the design capacity of the enclosed room in which the event is held is allowed when the following conditions are met: people have a QR code confirming completed vaccination or a past disease,’ the resolution says.
At the same time, a QR code with information about immunity to COVID-19 must also be available to the organizers of the event.
On November 12, the Government of the Russian Federation sent bills on the use of QR codes in public places and on some types of transport to the State Duma. The draft law "On Amendments to the federal law "On Sanitary and Epidemiological welfare of the Population" assumes that citizens will be able to visit venues of mass events, cultural institutions, catering and retail facilities in the presence of a QR code about vaccination, a document about medical exemption or about the past disease COVID-19.
The draft law "On Amendments to Article 107 of the Air Code of the Russian Federation and the Federal law "Charter of Railway Transport of the Russian Federation" regulates the use of QR codes in railway and air transport.
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova said that QR codes, which are mandatory for visiting cafes, shops and transport, are planned to be introduced since February 1 so that Russians have time to receive the necessary documents on immunity. She also urged citizens to get vaccinated against COVID-19. According to her, Russia has only approached 50 out of 80% of the required collective immunity.
