Puebla Launches Subsidized Milk Program for Over 500 Federal Worker Families

In Puebla, a new initiative titled 'Leche para el Bienestar' has been introduced, targeting over 500 families of federal workers. This program, spearheaded by delegate Paola Ruiz García, is part of federal efforts to ensure food security for vulnerable households and support the public labor sector's economy. Under this agreement, eligible families can purchase up to four liters of fortified milk for 30 pesos, significantly discounted compared to the average market price of fluid dairy products.

The program aims to provide access to nutritionally rich milk fortified with essential micronutrients for child development and family sustenance. Local authorities have highlighted the agreement as a direct social policy tool to combat inflation's impact on basic food items. The distribution plan is currently being finalized, with logistics being arranged for supply points and delivery schedules. The program's formal launch is expected soon, following the completion of beneficiary registration and organization.

This agreement strengthens Puebla's institutional social protection network by connecting public dairy supply with federal workers. It aims to enhance community health and optimize resources for nutrition in urban and peri-urban areas of the state.
