Oleg Malashchenko: In 2021, Leningrad region was able to maintain milk production volumes
According to him, milk production could decrease due to the abnormally hot summer and a temporary decrease in cow productivity. In addition, a significant player has actually left the market - the agricultural enterprise Losevo, which liquidated its own dairy herd and temporarily suspended the production of finished products.
Nevertheless, the industry managed to maintain results due to high productivity. So, on the leading farms Rabititsy and Gomontovo average milk yields per cow amounted to 14 thousand kg per year. The average for the region was 9.7 thousand kg per cow per year.
Next year, milk production volumes should increase due to the expansion and modernization of existing farms. For example, the farm Bugry recently took out a loan from Rosselkhozbank for the modernization of its enterprises Partizan and Osminskoye; the completion of the work is scheduled for next year.
The volume of state support only for dairy farming and crop production enterprises in Leningrad region by the end of 2021 will amount to 3.9 billion rubles (from the regional and federal budgets). This includes unrelated support, subsidies for the production of 1 liter of milk and other types of support.
Next year, the volume of state support for the industry will grow, Oleg Malashenko assured. However, data on how much it will become larger has not been announced yet.
