Brand Finance has named Nestlé and Coca-Cola as the most valuable food and non-alcoholic drinks brands for 2026. Nestlé's brand value increased by 23% to $24.6 billion, while Coca-Cola retains its top position despite a slight decrease in brand value.

Brand Finance's latest report ranks the most valuable food and beverage brands worldwide, highlighting significant growth in brand values across various categories. Nestlé has maintained its position as the world's most valuable food brand, experiencing a 23% increase in brand value to reach $24.6 billion. Meanwhile, Coca-Cola continues to lead the non-alcoholic drinks category despite a 1% decline in brand value, now at $46.1 billion.

Chinese brands are gaining ground in these rankings, with Nongfu Spring achieving a notable increase in brand value by 38% to $15.3 billion. Nongfu Spring has surpassed Coca-Cola in brand strength, boasting a Brand Strength Index score of 89.8/100 and a prestigious AAA+ rating.

In the dairy sector, Yili retains its status as the most valuable brand with a 29% rise to $14.5 billion. Another Chinese company, Mengniu, is strengthening its market presence, valued at $6 billion. Eastroc, known for its expansion into electrolyte and functional beverages, recorded a 62% increase in brand value to $5 billion.

Non-alcoholic functional beverages now collectively represent $33.4 billion, with Red Bull leading the category. Its brand value rose by 27% to $12.3 billion, followed by Monster and Gatorade, which also saw significant gains.

Canada Dry registered the fastest brand value growth, increasing by 116% to $1.1 billion, illustrating opportunities for growth in less traditional segments. The juice brand Innocent also reported a 60% increase in brand value to $1.6 billion.

In the coffee and tea sectors, Nescafé remains the most valuable, with its brand value growing 20% to $5.6 billion, while Yorkshire Tea achieved the highest brand strength score of 83.1/100, reflecting a 32% increase in brand value to $751 million.

Henry Farr of Brand Finance noted the increasing trend of brands utilizing broad, flexible portfolios to maintain market positions amid competitive challenges, while acknowledging the rising importance of product innovation and health-focused positioning.
