Moscow companies increased ice cream exports by 72.6% in January-September 2021 - Alexander Prokhorov
‘For 9 months of this year, 15.94 thousand tons of ice cream were exported to other countries, which is 65.26% more than in January-September 2020. In monetary terms, the volume of deliveries increased by 72.6% to $39.64 million. The key consumers are the United States of America, Kazakhstan, Canada, China and Belarus,’ Alexander Prokhorov said.
According to him, most of Moscow ice cream was exported to the USA. The manufacturers of the capital shipped ice cream at $19.66 million there - 405.4% more than in January-September 2020. The volume of deliveries amounted to 7.52 thousand tons. Kazakhstan is in the second place (+6.5% to $10.86 million), the total volume of supplies is 5.18 thousand tons. Canada is in the third place, shipments to this country increased by +3.4% to $ 1.54 million and the "weight" volume of ice cream exports amounted to 1.02 thousand tons.
In total, Moscow ice cream was exported to 31 countries (compared to 23 in 2020). The capital's ice cream exports have been showing positive dynamics over the past few years, summed up Alexander Prokhorov.
The total volume of agro-industrial exports from Moscow increased by 10.9% in 9 months and amounted to $2.8 billion. Among the goods, sugar became the most popular (in terms of volume in monetary terms): its supplies increased by 9.1% to $84.63 million and the main volume of supplies fell on Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine). Chocolate products are in the second place (+47.1% and $80.87 million), flour confectionery and bread are in the third place (+37.2% and $64.25 million).
