Mishustin signed an order on amendments to the introduction of labeling

On December 15, 2020, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed decree no. 3322-r on approval of the attached amendments to introduce mandatory digital labeling, writes The DairyNews.

The order lists the changes that are made to the list of individual goods that are subject to mandatory digital labeling by means of identification.

Since June 1, 2021, the changes will affect cheeses, ice cream and other types of food ice that do not contain or contain cocoa.

Since September 1, 2021, there will be labelled dairy products with a shelf life of more than 40 days, with the exception of the above types of products, the net weight of which is 30 grams or less; as well as those goods that are packaged in a non-industrial way in retail organizations; baby food for children under 3 years and specialized dietary therapeutic and preventive nutrition.

The press service of the CATD stated the following:

- The specified terms are the result of a constructive dialogue with the business community, aimed at a more comfortable transition to working with labeled products. As of December 14, more than 8,300 participants in the turnover of dairy products were registered in the labeling system.
