In March, milk production increased by 1.4%, sour cream by 2.9%, cottage cheese by 0.7%, and cheese by 2.2%. Such data is provided by Rosstat, reported in the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation to The DairyNews.

In 2021, the agro-industrial complex continues to be one of the drivers of the Russian economy and demonstrate growth in key areas. In particular, the positive dynamics is observed in the segment of the food and processing industry.

According to Rosstat, in March 2021, the output of food products increased by 0.9% compared to the same period of the previous year, and beverages – by 8.5%. In particular, over the past month, the production of chocolate and confectionery products with sugar (+10.2%), meat and meat-containing semi-finished products (+9.6%), frozen fillets of fish (+28.7%), and wines (+13.9%) increased significantly. The increase is observed in the production of cooked sausages (+2.9%) and other products.
