In January, milk production in Belarus reached 623.8 thousand tons. The leading analyst of Infagro Maxim Fasteev told this to The DairyNews.

According to him, it grew by 3.4% compared to the same month of 2019, although last year's base for comparison cannot be called low.

‘However, in January there were only a few frosty days, and the main bad weather occurred in February. Therefore, the dynamics may still slow down. The exchange quotation of Belarusian raw materials on the BUCE as of February 16 amounted to 92 kopecks per kilogram of extra milk (about 30 euro cents), the expert concluded.
