The investigation by OCU evaluated aspects like taste, aroma, and texture in over 30 brands of milk.

In a recent study, the Organización de Consumidores y Usuarios (OCU) has unveiled the three worst semi-skimmed milk brands available in the market. The study took into account various factors such as taste, aroma, and texture across more than 30 brands.
The Auchan Semidesnatada from Alcampo scored the lowest with 44 out of 100 points, primarily due to poor manufacturing processes that may suggest the addition of water and permeates. This revelation raises concerns about quality control within the industry.
Following Auchan, Supersol Semidesnatada scored 52 points and Xoia Semidesnatada scored 53 points. While the nutritional compositions of these brands are not considered poor, their preparation processes and overall taste significantly lower their general appraisal.
The OCU's findings highlight the importance of stringent manufacturing standards and consumer awareness in ensuring quality and safety in dairy products.
