Kerry Dairy Ireland launches an updated Evolve RegenDairy programme, linking farmer payments to milk production.
Kerry Dairy Ireland has unveiled its Evolve RegenDairy sustainability programme for 2025, featuring a revamped payment structure.
This initiative connects farmer remuneration to their herd's milk output in the current year, with payments distributed to their milk accounts by January 2026.
The revised programme results from supplier feedback and now includes 13 sustainability measures, reduced from the previous year's 23.
Measures for 2025 encompass Bord Bia's SDAS certification, milk recording, and herd genetic improvements.
Participation in development events and initiatives like Protecting Our Waters can augment payments by up to 1c/L, excluding VAT. Documentation to verify participation must be submitted by farmers between November 1 and November 21, either online or during 'data capture days'.
Notably, Kerry Dairy Ireland recently achieved global recognition by securing stage 5 verification under the Sustainable Dairy Partnership framework.
This achievement aligns sustainability expectations between dairy processors and buyers, covering key criteria such as GHG emissions and animal welfare.
