The press service of JSC Agrosila reported that the installation of equipment at the dairy plant, which is part of the holding structure, is almost completed, but there are still problems with some suppliers. The introduction of labeling has already cost 50 million rubles, another 6 million will be spent on obtaining codes from September to December, writes The DairyNews.

According to the press service, Agrosila-Moloko, part of the structure of JSC Agrosila, has prepared for the release of the first batch of labeled products. In the future, it is planned to produce a wider range of dairy products - cottage cheese, fermented dairy products. There are now 17 lines in the third stage. The equipment was received in full, the installation is almost complete, two terminals remain. The tests were carried out on five lines, the results are positive, but there are problems with some suppliers.

‘For example, due to delays for some products, codes are set manually. We plan to resolve this problem in the next few days,’ the representatives of the press service added.

The products manufactured by the company fell under the 2nd and 3rd stages – products with a shelf life of more than 40 days (since September, 2nd stage) and all products with a shelf life of up to 40 days (since December 1, 3rd stage) are already labeled.

The introduction of labeling was accompanied by changes in the production process:

‘The main problems are a decrease in the speed of production lines and the need to increase staff. In particular, there was a need to change the operation of the conveyor - this is the installation of additional equipment, additional personnel, changes in the placement of specialists and the work of operators,’ noted representatives of JSC Agrosila.

The main costs are directed to the purchase of equipment for applying and reading labeling codes, the work of integrators - software. The total cost of implementing the technology is 50 million rubles; in addition, operating costs are 50 kopecks without VAT for receiving each code, as well as using ink and labels.

‘6 million rubles will be allocated only to receive codes (excluding tape and ink) from September to December,’ the press service noted.

The delivery time of products will also increase:

‘In order to ship the goods before lunch and put fresh products on the shelves, the specialists of LLC Agrosila-Moloko work the night shift. When labeling is added to the usual schedule, employees need to read and activate the code additionally, as well as integrate data into 1C and Mercury systems. All this increases the time of shipment. To date, the mechanism of receiving goods by a retail chain and clearing the code at the checkout is unclear. A lot depends on the equipment that will be installed in retail outlets, and there are risks that the code will not be read at the checkout. The number of returns from outlets that do not want to take responsibility for possible errors when reading the code will increase,’ summed up representatives of the company.
