During the webinar "Honest mark", dedicated to the labeling of dairy products, Deputy Head of Kirov dairy plant Larisa Zabolotskaya said that the company is preparing to introduce mandatory digital labeling, writes The DairyNews.

At the same time, the expert noted that the CADT has some requirements for labeling codes, and retail chains have other requirements. For example, retailers are required to enter information about variable weight in the codes.

In this regard, Larisa Zabolotskaya believes that if we now start labeling with codes without this information, then retail chains will work with double scanning. According to her, this can increase the costs of manufacturers.

‘We must do everything properly from the very beginning! If the requirements of retail chains exist and other things do not help them to work, then it is necessary to shift the timing of cheese labeling so that producers have time to prepare for the requirements of retail chains,’ the expert said.

At the same time, the representative of the company METRO Vladimir Antonov said:

‘Some will be able to do a double scan, some will not. Therefore, for those who produce products with variable weight - the market may be lost. Indeed, this system does not need to be introduced since June 1.

The representative of Belebeyevsky dairy plant added:

‘We supply imported weight products to the Russian Federation. Now we do not understand how to do this. Additional investments will definitely be required, and it is unclear how to motivate them. You will have to pay either us or your foreign colleagues. How is it possible to organize interaction with the CATD, if foreigners are not coordinated with its representatives. This means that the entire implementation will follow through the importer. Clearly, we will not have time to carry out this work until June 1.
