Anton Grebeshev, Executive Vice President for Business Development with companies of the agro-industrial complex of Gazprombank, said that at the moment the share of dairy companies using subsidized development loans is inferior to poultry and pig enterprises, writes The DairyNews.

The expert believes, there are quite a lot of both large and small operating companies in the sector that have not modernized their production. At the same time, he noted that in the last few years, the market has seen significant success in the dairy industry, and the deficit that was in the early 2010s is no longer observed.

According to the expert, the market of dairy farming has become more mature. Anton Grebeshev noted that this usually portends a decrease in marginality, limits the number of new investors in the industry, and therefore the potential for credit growth is limited.

He said that Gazprombank is actively involved in the implementation of preferential lending mechanisms for enterprises of the agro-industrial complex and agriculture. Thus, in 2020, the bank allocated concessional loans for 3.1 billion rubles for the development of the dairy farming industry, and in 2021 – for 3.9 billion rubles.

‘According to the results of the program, Gazprombank maintains its leading position in the framework of subsidy mechanisms for enterprises of the agro-industrial complex, being one of the main systemically important banks in the industry. Gazprombank has established itself as a key player in the agricultural market, which is appreciated for its advanced understanding of the process and interest in the development of the mechanism,’ concluded Anton Grebeshev.
