‘We hope that the production of milk on all types of farms this year will reach at least 32.6 million tons. This will help improve the food supply, more active use of the potential of genetics and the use of new technologies. According to the results of 2020, the production of ice cream, cheese, and butter is expected to grow,’ Dmitry Patrushev said.
It is worth reminding that according to the Dairy Intelligence Agency (DIA), in January-November 2020, the production of commercial milk in the country amounted to 18.2 million tons.
Dmitry Patrushev also reminded that in 2020, the export of dairy products by domestic enterprises exceeded $300 million. At the same time, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Azerbaijan have traditionally become the key sales markets.
In 2020, according to the Minister, Japan, Vietnam, and Saudi Arabia were opened for export. Deliveries of milk powder to China began.
As for the labeling, Dmitry Patrushev reminded that additional measures of state support are being developed for it. It consists, among other things, in providing preferential loans for the purchase of codes, working with printing houses and compensation for the cost of equipment for printing houses.
‘It is necessary to carry out all the preparatory work in advance. I wish the entire dairy industry positive results in 2021,’ summed up Dmitry Patrushev.
