Gross milk production in agricultural enterprises of Moscow region increased by 2.3% and amounted to 147.3 thousand tons, reported in the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture to The DairyNews.

Gross milk production in agricultural enterprises of Moscow region has increased since the beginning of the year by 2.3% compared to the same period in 2020. This was announced by Minister of Agriculture and Food of Moscow region Sergey Voskresensky.

‘Since the beginning of the year, the gross milk production in agricultural organizations of all categories of Moscow region has increased by 2.3% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 147.3 thousand tons. We also increased the gross milk yield by 63.2 tons, the gross milk yield today is 1779.1 tons,’ Sergey Voskresensky said.

According to the minister, the milk yield per cow in agricultural enterprises of Moscow region amounted to 21.4 kg, an increase of 0.3 kg compared to last year.

Sergey Voskresensky added that this year it is expected to maintain the dynamics of stable growth of production indicators of dairy farming.
