International dairy prices have once again declined, with the Global Dairy Trade Event 384 showing a significant drop of 6.9%, led by a sharp decline in cheddar prices.

The Global Dairy Trade (GDT) Event 384, held on July 15, 2025, presented concerning signals for the global dairy market. The overall index recorded a substantial decline of 6.9%, indicating a significant correction in the prices of several key products. Cheddar led the downturn with a 5.6% dip, followed by a decrease in mozzarella by 0.7% and lactose by 1.5%. In contrast, whole milk powder (WMP) saw a rise of 1.1%, and skim milk powder (SMP) increased by 2.5%. While butter prices remained stable, anhydrous milk fat (AMF) experienced a slight improvement. This volatility is reinstating itself in the international dairy trade.
