Since the beginning of the year, Russian enterprises have exported dairy products to Kazakhstan at more than $100 million, according to the data of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Agroexport.

This country leads by a large margin from other top importers (Ukraine - $50 million, Belarus - $35 million, USA - $23.3 million, Uzbekistan - $14.8 million).

The main exporting regions are Moscow and Moscow region ($170 million), Rostov region ($36.78) and Krasnodar region ($11.32 million).

‘It is possible that the growth rate will decrease next season. As many experts note, animal husbandry is in the red in terms of profitability this year. Some enterprises are closing, and it is unlikely that it will be possible to reverse the decline in the number of cattle,’ commented Alexander Gavrilenko, the author of the Gavrilenko Agroprom Zen channel. ‘It is also possible that in 2021 restrictions on the export of milk, quotas or duties will be introduced. Of course, the president set the task of doubling agricultural export, and in the agricultural export Development Strategy, priority is given to products with a high processing rate. However, the "stability" of the domestic market remains an absolute priority for the state.
