The Group of companies EkoNiva announces operational results for 2021 in the main business areas: dairy farming, milk processing and crop production. By the end of 2021, EkoNiva produced 1,117 million tons of raw milk. Thus, the group became the first in Russia to cross the millionth milestone in the production of raw milk. Compared to the previous period, production increased by more than 190,000 tons, or 21%, reported in the press service of the Group of companies to The DairyNews.

The average number of cattle in 2021 amounted to more than 212,000 (+12%), including forage-fed herd of more than 110,000 cows (+9%). The average daily yield for the reporting period was 3060 tons.

According to the results of last year, EkoNiva sold over 131,200 tons of finished dairy products — this is 76% higher than in 2020. The assortment reached 71 commodity positions (SKU). Among the novelties produced last year are semi-hard cheeses "Shchuchansky" and "Kolybelsky", hard cheese Dürr aged for six months, as well as ultra-pasteurized milk "EkoNiva Organic".

The share of dairy products under the group's brands reached 75% of the total turnover of the processing division, products under the chains' own trademarks accounted for 25%. A year earlier, these figures were 71% and 29%, respectively.

EkoNiva's products are represented in the largest federal retail chains, including Magnit, Lenta, Perekrestok, Pyaterochka, Globus, Auchan, OK. The turnover of the company's products through federal retail chains has almost doubled by the end of last year.

The group also continued to actively develop sales through remote channels: for 2021 they have grown more than three times - faster than the company originally planned. Currently, EkoNiva products can be ordered through the online platforms "SberMarket" and "SberMegaMarket", Ozon and Ozon Express, delivery services "Samokat", "Lavka", Delivery Club,, in the online stores "Utkonos" and "Perekrestok Vprok" ( ).

Over the past year, EkoNiva Group has doubled the number of partners in the HoReCa segment. The largest of them, since the spring of last year, is the McDonald's fast food chain, which has more than 840 outlets in Russia. Other significant partners are catering plants at Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports, as well as the company Aeroflot—Russian Airlines.

EkoNiva's products are also represented in its own retail — at the end of 2021, the company operated 37 branded stores.

In 2021, the gross harvest of cereals and legumes on the farms of EkoNiva Group exceeded 481,000 tons, oilseeds - 103,000 tons from a total area of 233,000 hectares. Due to unfavorable weather conditions in the Chernozem region and the Volga region in spring and summer, the grain harvest was slightly lower than a year earlier. At the same time, last year was a success for oilseeds: the group doubled their harvest.

Also, despite the natural and climatic difficulties, the company fully met its own needs for juicy and coarse feed, having collected about 1.9 million tons, which corresponds to the levels of 2020.

The key factors of positive results in the crop production segment in the difficult conditions of 2021 were the use of modern equipment and technologies from world manufacturers, the active introduction of smart and precision farming, continuous training of specialists, as well as the introduction of the own software application Eko.Crop for agronomists.
